Why we are making a re-make music video

As a class, we were set a task to remake the music video of Justin Timberlake 'Cant stop the feeling'. We were split into groups and given 30 seconds of the video to recreate. This has to be identical to the original, as in the number and types of shots, and location. From having to recreate a certain section of the video meant that we got a good idea of how many shots are needed to get the final clip. It also gave us a good chance to understand the importance of getting enough footage to cover each section, to allow smooth editing. Once we had finished filming, we were asked to edit our clips together using the editing software final cut pro. As we had already used this software, we were able to use it confidently.
