Conventions of pop music:
- Bright colours
- High key lighting
- Big use of props and location
- Normally an upbeat and positive narrative
- Sometimes a use of coloured filters
- Close ups of the artist
Examples of artist:
- Anne Marie
- Beyonce
- Camilla Cabello
- Dua Lipa
- Justin Bieber
- Craig David
- Katy Perry
From looking at these different videos from pop artists, it has given me a clearer understanding of the generic conventions that are used in all of the videos. Meaning they are all similar and include the same elements, giving me the better understanding when it comes to planning my own video.
